New GP

We are pleased to welcome our new GP, Dr Manuel Villarreal. Dr Villarreal will be working at the surgery on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays to replace Dr Rowena Milligan, who left at the beginning of October.

We are also pleased to welcome Mrs Rachel Rawlings to our nursing team.

Clinical Pharmacist

Following the recent departure of Javier Llodra-Belda due to his move back home to Spain, the surgery has a new clinical pharmacist, Sian Williams, helping patients with medication reviews and queries.

Flu Vaccines

We are continuing to invite eligible patients to book in for clinics being held at the surgery or at the school – these are by appointment only due to Covid measures.  Thank you for your patience whilst we work through the priority groups. We will be continuing clinics throughout November and December.

Covid infection control measures at the surgery

In order to continue being able to see patients for face to face appointments at the surgery, we need to ensure our infection control measures are working to keep Covid out of the surgery. Please do not attend appointments if you have symptoms of coronavirus or are self-isolating due to a household member with symptoms (or have been advised by Track and Trace). Please wear a face covering to your appointment and please arrive on time so that waiting time in the waiting room is minimised (if you arrive early you may be asked to wait outside until your appointment time).

By continuing with these measures, we hope that disruption to appointments will be kept to a minimum during the winter months by limiting the spread of the virus in the waiting room and by minimising staff having to self-isolate/absences due to illness.

Updated advice from NHS England is now published on the gov.uk website for patients in this group. Letters will be sent to patients from NHSE with further information.

Blood samples – disruption to service due to supply issues with Roche

This has now been resolved in Gloucestershire and we have been advised that the pathology laboratory will now receive samples from us again. We will contact patients whose appointments had been deferred due to this issue.
