Covid-19 Vaccines Update on Vaccine Clinics

The enormous efforts of staff at the surgeries and the North Cotswold Primary Care Network team have resulted in the vaccination of approximately 4,800 first doses of Covid-19 vaccinations for patients registered with the North Cotswold practices.

Vaccine deliveries and, therefore, clinic appointments have often been at short notice so we would like to thank our patients and staff team for working so hard to support this programme to date.

The majority of patients in nursing and residential homes and their staff have also been vaccinated, along with the commencement of housebound patients last weekend. In order not to waste any vaccine, we were also able to offer some patients aged over 75 the vaccine.

We, unfortunately, have now been advised that we will not receive further expected deliveries of vaccine, as other areas of the country have yet to offer vaccination to patients aged over 80. Once we are informed of further vaccine deliveries, we will continue with our programme and will be inviting patients according to the priority groups set out by the JCVI (Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation).

Please be reassured that, when we are notified of further delivery dates, we will then start inviting patients again, including patients aged over 75 who did not receive the vaccine in this first stage, so there is no need to telephone our reception to “confirm that you are on the list” as this blocks our telephone lines for other patients trying to reach the practice.

Thank you for your co-operation and understanding during these challenging times.
