2nd Doses of Covid Vaccines

Following a directive from Government, we wish to inform you that all 2nd Doses of the Covid vaccination have been postponed for the time being.

You can read the announcement here https://www.gov.uk/government/news/statement-from-the-uk-chief-medical-officers-on-the-prioritisation-of-first-doses-of-covid-19-vaccines

We have been asked to prioritise the 1st dose for a greater number of people, and delay the second dose for up to 12 weeks.

We are not sure when we will be able to book second doses, but we will be in touch as soon as we know.

Please note that you will need to have the same brand of vaccine for your second dose as you were given for the first.__

We acknowledge that this situation is not ideal for any of us as we are now having to duplicate the work already undertaken and cancel and rebook patients, but, unfortunately, we do not have any discretion with regard to this directive.

Vaccination Clinics booked for this weekend (10th, 11th and 12th January 2021) at Moreton have been cancelled due to a cancellation of the delivery of the vaccine by the NHS – we have contacted patients booked in to inform them by telephone, text or letter.

Invites for Covid vaccinations

We are inviting eligible patients according to the recommended priority groups and availability of the vaccines. This system is organized by the North Cotswold GP practice group and all patients across the 5 practices are being invited to clinics at Moreton Hospital. Please be patient for us to contact you when you are due your vaccine.

Scam Texts

We are inviting some patients via text to book in for their covid vaccine but will never ask for bank details or payment as the vaccine is free of charge. For our patients, the text will be from Campden Surgery.

Scam texts are also circulating so please be vigilant for these.

Plea to our patients

We request that patients do not contact the surgery with regard to the vaccine as we are extremely busy with the covid vaccination programme, the increase in positive covid patients locally, routine work and assisting secondary care as they are dealing with covid admissions – we will contact patients in due course.
