Dr Manuel Villarreal-Reales
Dr Villarreal has been with the practice since early November 2020 and will be joining the GP team as a partner, meaning that the practice will now have 4 GP partners.
This is an increase in Doctor sessions for the surgery and we hope will help allow us to continue working through the backlog of clinical issues which have been a consequence of the pandemic. Dr Villarreal qualified from the Medical School of the National University of Colombia in 1994. After working some months in rural Colombia, he then worked as a Family and Emergency Doctor on cruise ships where he met his wife. Following on from that, he was based in West Yorkshire, working in Leeds and Bradford hospitals before completing his GP training in North Worcestershire in 2008 and began his GP career.
He now lives in Coughton with his wife and two children and together enjoy country walks.
The dispensary department is now open in the surgery building again rather than from the side door – please wear face coverings at all times when entering the building. Please always allow at least 2 working days after ordering before collecting medication. We request patients to order medication online where possible rather than phone requests through.
Minor injuries and illness unit – North Cotswold Hospital, Moreton-in-Marsh
Booked appointments are required at North Cotswold Minor injury and illness Unit.
To book an appointment please phone 111 or alternatively phone MIIU on 0300 421 8774 and use option 1 for the Triage Clinician. Please do not turn up at the unit without an appointment.
General Practice is still experiencing extremely high numbers of requests for advice and appointments. You can contact us via the surgery website to log a query and we will respond as quickly as possible. We appreciate that there is a wait for routine telephone consultations and would encourage patients to utilise the email and website facilities where appropriate.
Appointment requests should be made via reception or via the online booking system. Please do not request appointments by email or letter. Receptionists are trained to take information regarding the medical needs of patients, in order to ensure the correct course of action is taken. Your cooperation with this is appreciated. Thank you.
The vaccine appointment hub for patients who are currently eligible to book a covid vaccine can be reached on 01608 692115 (Opening hours 10:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday, for patient queries). If the phones are not manned for any reason, there will be an answer message. The email is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Next steps for the NHS
We are awaiting guidance from the CCG as to the next steps for surgeries following the lockdown easing measures. We will inform patients as soon as we receive more information with regards to any changes to the current system.
