Doctors

Dr Rebecca Zamir (née Taylor), female

Working days: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Originally from Staffordshire, I trained at Nottingham University and qualified in 1993. After house jobs in Banbury and Stoke Mandeville, I completed the GP training scheme at Northwick Park Hospital in North West London and became a partner in a large inner city practice nearby. I moved to this area just after my second child was born in 2005 and joined Campden surgery as a partner in 2008. I live with my husband and two children in Kingham. I try and get to the gym when I can and enjoy gardening, walking and cycling.

Dr Manuel Villarreal

Working days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Villarreal qualified from the Medical School of the National University of Colombia in 1994. After working some months in rural Colombia, he then worked as a family and emergency doctor on cruise ships where he met his wife. Following on from that, he was based in West Yorkshire, working in Leeds and Bradford hospitals before completing his GP training in North Worcestershire in 2008 and began his GP career. He now lives in Coughton with his wife and two children and together enjoys country walks.

Dr Manuel Villarreal has recently had his paper published – information below:

Dr Nicola Hodgkins

Working days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday morning.

I qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2002 and moved to the Cotswolds to complete my GP training. I gained additional qualifications in women’s health, which is a special interest of mine. Before joining the Campden team in December 2021, I worked as a GP in a village practice near Banbury for 15 years. I found it very rewarding getting to know patients and their families in order to provide personalised care. When I’m not working, I enjoy baking and exploring the Cotswold countryside (as well as more tropical locations!) with my husband and 4 children.

Dr Katarina Thomas-Fernandez

Working days: Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Originally from London, I qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2019 with my MBBS and BSc in Neuroscience and Mental Health, before moving to the Midlands to start my foundation training. Following on from that, I spent some time working in acute trusts across acute medicine and care of the elderly whilst completing my PGCert in Health Professions Education. I am currently in the GP training programme, which has brought me to Chipping Campden Surgery for 6 months. In my free time I enjoy gardening, kickboxing and all things craft related.
